About Me
I grew up in Seattle Washington and spent many childhood hours coloring and playing music. I took my first drawing class out of curiosity over ten years ago and developed a love for art. With still lifes, I love painting bright vivid colors and big forms. I paint emotions through color in an intuitive way. Composing by placing objects in space fascinate me. It gives purpose and value in my still lifes.
Lately, I’ve discovered that I like doing landscapes especially mountains and open fields. I paint with a more muted palette and think of perspective and scale but most of all the colors I see around me. I change direction of my brush strokes to create thinkness and shape as a form of expression.
Artists that have influenced my work are the Impressionists and Vincent Van Gogh.
